May Wes Introduces Planter Stalk Stompers for Case IH Model 1250 Early Riser Planters

G4 Planter Stalk Stompers Protect Planter Wheels from Corn Stubble Damage; Ideal for No-Till, Strip-Till Operations

May Wes, inventor of the Original Stalk Stomper, proudly introduces its latest game-changing innovation for no-till and strip-till farming operations, G4 Planter Stalk Stompers for Case IH Model 1250 Early Riser Planters. An agricultural industry first, May Wes G4 Planter Stalk Stompers level tough residual cornstalks ahead of the planter tires, protecting the tires from stubble damage and reducing costly downtime.

“We introduced the G4 Planter Stalk Stompers after receiving multiple requests from no-till and strip-till farmers who were chewing up their planter tires on tough cornstalks,” said Eric Bates, May Wes sales manager. “To our knowledge, May Wes is the only manufacturer offering Stalk Stompers for planters. We rolled out our first Planter Stalk Stompers last year for John Deere 1770NT Planters, and they have been a huge hit. We’re really pleased to offer them for Case IH for this year’s planting season.”

G4 Planter Stalk Stompers feature the same durable 12” wide compression molded UHMW poly G4 Stalk Stomper shoes used on May Wes’s popular G4 Stalk Stompers for corn heads. The G4 Planter Stalk Stompers are sold in four row kits that include two 72” 2”X2” toolbars, four UHMW plastic G4 Stalk Stomper shoes and adjustable mounting brackets. Additional G4 Stalk Stomper shoes, toolbars and mounting brackets can be purchased separately.

May Wes G4 Planter Stalk Stompers are easy to install; simply bolt them to the planter frame using a 2”x2” tool bar and adjustable mounting brackets and set them to the desired height.

May Wes introduces new G4 Stalk Stompers for John Deere 90/40 Series Corn Heads

May Wes, a leading manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket poly agricultural parts including the original Stalk Stompers, announced today that it has expanded its popular G4 Stalk Stomper product line to include John Deere 90/40 Series corn heads.

May Wes added the John Deere 90/40 Series G4 Stalk Stompers to its G4 Stalk Stomper lineup to meet grower demand. The Hutchinson, Minnesota-based manufacturer introduced its award-winning compression molded UHMW G4 Stalk Stompers in 2018 and has since expanded the product line to include most major corn heads, including John Deere 90/40 and 600/700 Series; Case IH 2200, 2400, 2600, 3200, 3400, 4200 and 4400 Series; New Holland 99C/980 Series and 96C/98C/98D/996 Series; Geringhoff Horizon, Patriot/Northstar/Rotadisc Series; Drago GT and Series I & II; Harvestec; Lexion; Capello; AGCO and Fantini. May Wes will continue to add additional models as the market demands. G4 Planter Stalk Stompers are also available for John Deere 1770NT planters and will be available soon for Case IH Model 1250 Early Riser planters. May Wes also offers tractor stalk stompers for a wide range of tractors.

Based on farmer feedback, the G4 Stalk Stomper features a simplified and space-saving torsion design that eliminates the spring, chain, pivot bolt and other bulky features found in most Stalk Stompers, making it much easier for one person to install, remove and reposition for transport or storage.

The G4 is much more compact with a 12.7” shorter length than previous models, providing more clearance for track combines and hassle-free storage and transport on folding corn heads. May Wes widened the G4’s shoe to 12” for optimal stalk leveling and reduced its weight by 25 percent. Manufactured from ½” thick durable UHMW poly instead of steel, the G4’s shoe easily glides across the field and features a raised tail to prevent accidental reverse damage.

May Wes G4 Stalk Stomper Wins Made in Minnesota Manufacturing Award for Best Game-Changing B2C Product

May Wes proudly announces that it has won the 2018 Made in Minnesota Manufacturing Awards Best Game-Changing B2C Product Award for its new G4 Stalk Stompers.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for our game-changing G4 Stalk Stomper,” said Jack Daggett, president of May Wes and its parent company Pride Solutions. “May Wes developed the original Stalk Stomper more than 45 years ago and we’ve been working directly with farmers to continuously improve the product. The G4 features our most innovative design changes to date thanks to the team effort of our staff who collaborated with several test farmers.”

Based on farmer feedback, the G4 Stalk Stomper features a simplified and space-saving torsion design that eliminates the spring, chain, pivot bolt and other bulky features found in most Stalk Stompers, making it much easier for one person to install, remove and reposition for transport or storage. It is available for a wide range of corn heads. The G4 is much more compact with an 11.5” shorter profile than previous models, providing more clearance for track combines and hassle-free storage and transport on folding corn heads.

The G4 Stalk Stomper is ideal for track combines and folding headers. It can be used on all rows to flatten and fan-out the stalk, allowing air and moisture to accelerate decomposition, or it can be used on just the rows in front of combine tires and tracks to prevent costly stubble damage. Two to 18-row kits are available.

In addition to the Game-Changing B2C Product Award, May Wes parent company Pride Solutions was awarded the Best in Class Small Business award, and Pride Solutions founder Tom Daggett was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Pride Solutions division C&A Pro was a runner up for the Game-Changing B2C Product Award for its XPT snowmobile skis, and President Jack Daggett was a finalist for the Emerging Leader award.

Based on farmer feedback, the G4 Stalk Stomper features a simplified design that eliminates the spring, chain, pivot bolt and more. We also reduced the weight by 25% while widening the shoe. This new stalk stomper design is ideal for track combines and folding headers.

“I ran the new May Wes G4 Stalk Stomper design on 2,500 acres with heavier down pressure and 5.5 mph speed. The new light weight stomper shoes withstood wear better than the Quick Disconnect version. I like the ease in handling the shoes and ability to rotate the shoes for storage on the head. The G4 is less bulky and a cleaner, more efficient, stalk leveling design.”

SnowCare for Troops Makes a Difference for Military Families and Disabled Veterans

For families of deployed military personnel and post-9/11 veterans with a service-connected disability, clearing driveways and sidewalks of snow and ice can be a real hardship.

Not only is it physically taxing, but it takes valuable time away from family and handling other important tasks from getting the kids to school and activities to picking up a prescription or making it to a doctor’s appointment.

To help military families and disabled veterans overcome those challenges, Project EverGreen, in partnership with BOSS Snowplow, established the SnowCare for Troops initiative in 2010 to provide complimentary snow and ice removal services to these deserving individuals who are our nation’s heroes.

Now in its eighth year, SnowCare for Troops has seen more than 5,000 military families and 1,500 snow removal contractor volunteers across the country register to either receive or provide services since its inception.

“SnowCare for Troops provides military families with peace of mind and lifts a significant burden from their plate,” said Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “We’re very grateful for the commitment of our dedicated volunteers and the continued support from BOSS Snowplow. The leadership it demonstrates in support of military families goes above and beyond the call of duty.”

SnowCare for Troops is more than clearing driveways and sidewalks of snow and ice, it is a means to allow military families and wounded/disabled veterans to maintain their independence, and go about their daily routines taking care of family, going to work or rehabilitating service-connected injuries.

May Wes proudly supports all deployed and military veterans. Poly Cutting Edge will assist with snowplowing efforts and will save your metal blade and smooth hard surfaces from wear and damage.
