We are proud to introduce our newest aftermarket poly skid shoes for Lexion and Claas MAXFLEX headers!
Manufactured from slick and durable 3/8” thick virgin UHMW poly, the new center skid shoe measures 10.25” X 9” and fits Lexion F540/F535/G540/G535 and Claas MAXFLEX 1200/1050 and 930/770 headers. It replaces OEM part 3591080, and priced at $18.50 is much easier on the wallet. The skid shoe is CNC machine cut from solid sheets of UHMW plastic and formed to fit the header in May Wes’ Hutchinson, Minnesota plastic fabrication shop. The skid shoe is pre-drilled and includes all hardware necessary for installation (size #86 small head pop rivets). May Wes skid shoes are counter bored, allowing hardware to be recessed for smoother operation.
May Wes pioneered the application of poly to the agricultural industry in 1972. The company manufactures UHMW poly skid shoes for a wide range of headers, including Case IH, New Holland, John Deere, Claas, Lexion, Caterpillar, and Gleaner/Massey. An agricultural industry first, May Wes G4 Planter Stalk Stompers level tough residual cornstalks ahead of the planter tires, protecting the tires from stubble damage and reducing costly downtime.

The G4 Planter Stalk Stompers are sold in four row kits that include two 72” 2”X2” toolbars, four UHMW plastic G4 Stalk Stomper shoes and adjustable mounting brackets. Additional G4 Stalk Stomper shoes, toolbars and mounting brackets can be purchased separately.

May Wes added the John Deere 90/40 Series G4 Stalk Stompers to its G4 Stalk Stomper lineup to meet grower demand. The Hutchinson, Minnesota-based manufacturer introduced its award-winning compression molded UHMW G4 Stalk Stompers in 2018 and has since expanded the product line to include most major corn heads, including John Deere 90/40 and 600/700 Series; Case IH 2200, 2400, 2600, 3200, 3400, 4200 and 4400 Series; New Holland 99C/980 Series and 96C/98C/98D/996 Series; Geringhoff Horizon, Patriot/Northstar/Rotadisc Series; Drago GT and Series I & II; Harvestec; Lexion; Capello; AGCO and Fantini. The G4 is much more compact with a 12.7” shorter length than previous models, providing more clearance for track combines and hassle-free storage and transport on folding corn heads. May Wes widened the G4’s shoe to 12” for optimal stalk leveling and reduced its weight by 25 percent. Manufactured from ½” thick durable UHMW poly instead of steel, the G4’s shoe easily glides across the field and features a raised tail to prevent accidental reverse damage.
